RPRG prepares market feasibility studies for market-rate rental housing projects, including many using local bonds and/or insured through the HUD mortgage insurance programs 221(d)(4), 231, 220, and 232.

RPRG has been approved to conduct studies under the MAP program by numerous HUD HUBS or program centers including the Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Buffalo, Newark, Greensboro, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Richmond and San Francisco offices.

Types of rental communities we evaluate include:

• Luxury high-rises with extensive amenity and feature packages;

• “Big House” communities with individual entries and integral garages;

• Garden apartments with and without structured parking;

• Senior market-rate rental communities (SMRRC)

• Rental townhouse communities;

• Adaptive reuses of non-residential buildings to residential and/or mixed uses;

• Substantial rehabilitation of existing rental communities;

RPRG often works as part of the development team to position the product within the marketplace.  Determining the competitive price position of the product, the nature of the target market, and the composition of the unit features package and community amenities package are all part of this process.
