Real Estate Market Analyst

RPRG is currently seeking a full-time Real Estate Market Analyst for its Columbia, Maryland or Atlanta, Georgia location. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive market analyses, focusing on rental markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare market feasibility studies as part of a lender’s application for Section 221(d)(4) mortgage insurance
  • Prepare rental market studies for submission to lenders and state agencies for Low Income Housing Tax Credit allocations.
  • Market and Product advisory analysis of existing markets, product and pricing recommendations for residential and commercial developers and land owners
  • Studies of for sale communities

Requirements:

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in urban planning, real estate finance, geography, economics, or related field
  • Two or more years of experience working in the field of real estate research, market analysis, economic analysis, and/or planning
  • An ability to communicate clearly and effectively through the use of narrative text, statistical tables, graphs, and maps
  • Intermediate or advanced modeling skills using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and/or GIS software
  • Aptitude in the areas of quantitative analysis, written communication, and problem-solving

Salary:

Salary is commensurate with experience. Individuals with two to four years’ experience can expect to earn a salary in the range of $50,000 to $80,000.

Research Associate

RPRG is currently seeking a Research Associate for its Columbia, Maryland or Atlanta, Georgia location. The Research Associate is a critical part of our research operation, providing essential support services to our market analysts and directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct phone surveys of rental and for sale housing communities and compiling survey data in computerized databases
  • Conduct internet research to gather and compile key economic and demographic data as well as data pertaining to housing supply
  • Assist in report production.

Requirements:

The following phrases characterize the type of individual most likely to succeed in this position: highly motivated; enjoys working as part of a team; learns quickly; enjoys speaking with leasing and sales personnel to garner information; values precision and accuracy; and is accustomed to working in a rapidly paced environment. Requirements include:

  • An undergraduate degree in urban planning, geography, economics, or related field
  • A basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • An ability to communicate clearly and effectively through the use of narrative text, statistical tables, graphs, and maps

Salary:

This is a full time, entry level position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
